The Aurora Integrated Multipurpose Cooperative (AIMCooP) is committed to secure Personal Information (PI) of our members and prospect members.
Republic Act 10173 also known as Data Privacy Act of 2012, issued by National Privacy Commission (NPC) in August 2012, provides the guidelines on the implementation of this law. Please be informed that AIMCooP shall continue to process and collect the Personal Information (PI), Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) and Privileged Information of its members and prospect members, in order to serve better and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
This Privacy Statement, hereafter referred to as “Statement”, explains how AIMCooP collects, use, shares and secures the members and prospect members information when accessing our Mobile Application or availing our products and services.
VI – AIMCooP Privacy Practices
The privacy practices described in this Statement are primarily intended for members and its prospect members in the Philippines and are designed to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. When accessing our Mobile Application or availing our services from outside the Philippines, you acknowledge and agree that your information may be transferred to and processed in the Philippines following legal and regulatory standards for data protection that may differ from your current or home jurisdictions.
It is the practice of AIMCooP to respect and uphold data privacy rights, and to ensure that all personal data collected from members and prospect members are processed in line to the general principles of Transparency, Legitimate Purpose and Proportionality as stated in Data Privacy Act of 2012.
VII - Information Collection, Use and Share
AIMCooP are the sole owners of the Personal Information collected on this Mobile Application. AIMCooP only have access to Personal Information that you have voluntarily given to us through this Mobile Application Registration. All Personal Information you provided will be used within the bounds of applicable Philippine Laws, and any other rules and regulations issued by our regulatory; the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and Credit Information Corporation (CIC).
AIMCooP will use your Personal Information, Sensitive Personal Information and Privileged Information to respond to you and to give better products and services to the members. We will not share your information with any third party outside the cooperative, other than as necessary to fulfill requests from our regulatory, approved auditing firm and system provider.
Unless you ask not to, we may contact you via email or text messages in the future to tell you about specials, new products and services.
VIII – Securing Members Information
Personal Information of our members is very valuable to us, particularly it may include Sensitive Personal Information (PSI) such as gender and government issued ID or the likes. AIMCooP strive to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our members Personal Information by installing and creating organizational, physical and technology safeguards on our data center premises. AIMCooP also trains our employees on how to properly handle and protect the members’ information.
VIV- Members Information Retention
The members Personal Information shall be retained for as long as he/she is a members of AIMCooP.
